Big tech companies love their acronyms. They become a local language in corporate campuses. My first Interaction Design job was with Intel and this culture was quite a shock to the system. People used their knowledge of the company's acronyms to show off their status in meetings and show up those that didn't know them. New starters would revise their GHPs, CDTs, FRGs and YIPs in a company glossary 1000s of acronyms long.
